L’eau y a été employée autrefois pour ses facultés motrices, mais les liens de celle –ci avec le paysage qu’elle reflète seront désormais mis en valeur par l’installation d’une camera obscura. Cette pièce est un lieu de recentrement et de passage. L’installation marque le carrefour du paysage, et remet le visiteur, inscrit dans son propre cheminement, en face des composantes du paysage et de sa capacité à les appréhender. La chambre obscure interrompt le cheminement par un lieu sombre, confronte à l’image vivante, rendant la complexité de notre rapport à la nature, à l’illusion. Elle sollicite aussi notre faculté à laisser s’épanouir la capacité de rêver les éléments, à les laisser résonner dans une interprétation bachelardienne de ces termes. Ce système laisse circuler l’eau sous le moulin et surtout permet de décoller durant le temps de ce passage, le reflet de la surface de l’eau pour le projeter sur les verres dépolis. Le moulin devient une halte dans le cheminement du promeneur, un lieu pour voir se former dans le calme et la pénombre, l’image du paysage. Le lieu est toujours une sorte de maison outil, mais vouée désormais à la fabrication d’images.
